"Regalia: Plantation Lullabies of Royalty," is a dance work co-choreographed by Jennifer Harge and Duane Lee Holland, Jr. The work examines transgenerational consistencies, evolutions, and accommodations of black bodies since American slavery. Using African and American dance traditions, theater, and improvisation, Regalia creates a space to discuss the politics of race, gender, and sexuality as they relate to black survivorship. +++ Also sponsored by SLIPPAGE: Performance|Culture|Technology
