Lunch Event: Mentoring and Training Scientists

The Duke Cardiovascular Research Center and the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute will host the Duke-Stanford Cardiovascular Research Symposium, May 21-23, 2017. The Symposium honors Robert J. Lefkowitz, MD, and Brian Kobilka, MD, who together received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2012. As part of the event, Provost Sally Kornbluth, PhD, and Nobel Laureate Robert Lefkowitz, MD, will particiate in a lunch forum on the theme of "Mentoring and Training Scientists." Joseph Rogers, MD, interim chair of the Department of Medicine will moderate the discussion around the concept of mentoring and invigorating scientific curiosity in a basic science laboratory.
