Divestment Then and Now
Sponsor(s): Franklin Humanities Institute (FHI)
From apartheid South Africa to Sudan to fossil fuels, Duke students have a long history of advocating for divestment in support of human rights.
Want to learn more about this history? Join us Tuesday, Jan. 14, 4:00 - 5:30 PM for "Divestment Then & Now." This event will include a presentation by Prof. Yousuf Al-Bulushi, a panel of student organizers, and small group discussion. It will be followed by a reception with food.
Stay tuned for a follow-up event on Duke's 1980s divestment from apartheid South Africa!
