Le Cor Naturel: 19th Century Music for Natural Horn and Piano

Duke faculty members R. Larry Todd and Rachel Niketopoulos will join natural horn players Christopher Caudill and Monet Jowers for a concert of 19th-century chamber music performed on period instruments, including Duke's 1805 Clementi and c.1870 Steinway.

Works Featured: Nikolaus von Krufft's Sonata for Horn and Piano (1814), Charles Gounod's Six Melodies for Piston Horn and Piano (1839), and Antonin Reicha Trios for Natural Horn, op. 82 (c.1815).
