3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Dina Powell, President of Goldman Sachs Foundation
Foundation Impact Research Group Seminar

Philanthropy as we know it today is rapidly evolving and moving in an exciting direction, with new kinds of innovative impact investing models being developed to drive change and progress as the philanthropic sector adopts and implements the tools of business. The Goldman Sachs Foundation has been a pioneer in this approach, and Dina Powell will discuss how leveraging private sector resources, expertise and innovation, investing in entrepreneurial ecosystems, and creating sustainability through partnership-driven models can all generate meaningful impact. As president of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, Dina oversees two major initiatives, including 10,000 Women, a global program offering business, management education and capital to women entrepreneurs, and 10,000 Small Businesses, which provides small business owners with access to capital, business education and mentorship. She also leads the firm's employee engagement platform, including Goldman Sachs Gives, a donor-advised fund that supports thousands of nonprofit organizations globally.
