Students who make and maintain strong relationships with faculty tend to do better while in college, and go on to perform well in scholarship competitions. Did you know you will need up to eight letters of recommendation to apply for a Rhodes Scholarship, and three for most other academic opportunities? Three senior faculty at Duke, representing the social sciences, sciences, and humanities, will give you tips on how to build effective faculty relationships. Learn how to best use office hours, what goes into a strong letter of recommendation, when to Flunch, and how to connect personally and intellectually with faculty.
