Impact of Family Separation on Children, Patients and the Healthcare Workforce: A Panel Discussion

The Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences will co-host a panel featuring leaders in the field of childhood trauma, resilience and immigration policy.

This forum will positively engage attendees in dialogue about: 1) academically and clinically relevant experiences and the biopsychosocial effects of trauma to children due to family separation, 2) the impact of immigration policies on our patients and healthcare workforce, and 3) community health perspectives about caring for our Latino/a/x patients.

Panelists will also share detailed information about the current state of policies and efforts around immigration and family separation.
