Kenan Purpose Program Fellows Symposium

Join the 2018 Kenan Purpose Program Summer Fellows for brief remarks and plenty of informal conversation about seeking purposeful work at the second annual Fellows Symposium. Each of the Fellows spent last summer working in a field connected to where they hope to be after Duke. In all cases, their experiences were clarifying-but not always in the ways they expected.

If you're looking ahead to what follows your time at Duke, this is a wonderful chance to connect with like-minded students. If you're a sophomore or junior considering applying for the Kenan Purpose Program for 2019, this is the best way to learn what the program is all about.

In addition to hearing some insights on careers, we hope the Symposium will be an opportunity to form networks among students who don't always find the obvious paths through Duke to be quite the right fit, whether they are narrowly focused on job issues or more diffuse questions of what post-graduate life might be like for you. Summer Fellow work experiences are especially relevant if you're considering public interest law, nonprofit-based advocacy, cultural preservation, or leveraging business for social good). That said, the program and its participants are interested in supporting students' next steps in more holistic ways.

We hope to see you there!
