February 19, 2019, marks the 77th anniversary of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's signing of Executive Order 9066, authorizing the internment of all people of Japanese descent, including American citizens and lawful permanent residents.

Duncan Williams is an Associate Professor of Religion and East Asian Studies at the University of Southern California. His newest book, available Spring 2019, looks at the practice of Buddhism in Japanese internment camps during World War II. The book is based on extensive archival work and interviews conducted with internment camp survivors and their descendant.
