Nicole Ligon is the Supervising Attorney of the First Amendment Clinic at Duke Law. She works with students on litigating and advising clients with free speech concerns. Among those clients are numerous individuals who want to come forward about their stories of sexual harassment in such a way that they are well-positioned to defend against any defamation claims that could arise from speaking out about their experiences. Prior to joining the Duke Law faculty in 2018, Nicole practiced First Amendment and media law at a prominent international law firm in New York City.
