Richard Sakwa, University of Kent

In addition to teaching at the University of Kent, Prof. Richard Sakwa lectured at the University of Essex and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is an Associate Fellow of the Russia and Eurasia Programme at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Russian, European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) at the University of Birmingham and since September 2002 a member of Academy of Learned Societies for the Social Sciences.

His research interests include political development in Russia, International politics and the second Cold War, the nature of postcommunism, global challenges facing the former communist countries, and problems of European and global order. His upcoming book from Bristol University Press is called "Deception: Russiagate and the New Cold War" and is about the series of events that combined to create Russiagate and whether together they form a persuasive account of Russian interference.
