Rethinking Diplomacy: A Conversation on Climate Diplomacy with Ambassador Robert O. Blake
Please join the Rethinking Diplomacy Program (RDP) for a timely discussion on climate diplomacy with Ambassador Robert O. Blake (senior director, McLarty Associates; former senior advisor to US envoy for climate change John Kerry). In conversation with Ambassador Bob Pearson, Duke faculty, students, and community, Ambassador Blake will provide remarks on climate change after COP27, the annual United Nations Conference on Climate Change held in November in Egypt. Ambassador Blake will also discuss the need for greater institutionalization of climate diplomacy at the State Department, the role of the private sector, and an Indonesian project to transition from coal to green energy.
Following Ambassador Blake's initial remarks, he will be joined by a panel of Duke experts for further discussion:
