"Why Center Interaction"
Abstract: Interactions among entities in a domain are often appealed to in explanations of observed phenomena in that domain. Calling on research in the natural and social sciences, this talk argues that interactions themselves are worthy subjects of inquiry. Centering interactions reveals questions about and dimensions of the natural and social worlds obscured when we focus on individual objects and their properties.
