Sounding the Passion & The Duke Cambridge Consultation

Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts (DITA) at Duke Divinity School will host a public panel discussion with David Ford, Religious Professor of Divinity, and Sarah Coakley, established Chair in Philosophy of Religion, both of the University of Cambridge, England; and Alan Torrance, Professor and Chair of Systematic Theology at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Panelists will discuss their vision for the future of theology. An audience question and answer session will follow. Advance registration is encouraged.The panel discussion is part of "Sounding the Passion: Encounters in Poetry, Theology, and Music," a series of April 9-13 events stemming from The Duke-Cambridge Consultation, a four year interdisciplinary theology and arts collaboration between Duke and Cambridge Universities. The events culminate in the U.S. premiere on Palm Sunday (April 13) of the newly commissioned St. Luke Passion by internationally acclaimed Scottish composer James MacMillan.
