On Heschel's Legacy
Duke welcomes back Michael Marmur, Jack, Joshua and Morton Mandel Provost at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion; and Arnold Eisen, Chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary, in a compelling symposium on the legacy of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, whose archives recently opened here at Duke.
The day will begin with a lunch seminar by HUC Provost Michael Marmur, followed by a panel with Duke faculty, including Stephen Chapman, and finally finishing with a lecture by JTS Chancellor Arnold Eisen.
