Want to know more about human rights, civil rights, disability, and advocacy work? Duke Disability Alliance (DDA) is proud to introduce Katherine Slager, an attorney at Disability Rights North Carolina (DRNC). At this event, Katherine will introduce the history of the disability rights movement, her work at a Protection and Advocacy organization (P&A), and what they do to protect and advocate for disability civil rights in North Carolina. Presentation followed by a Q&A. Event on Monday, February 13th at 5:30pm in Breedlove Conference Room (Rubenstein 349). Sign language interpreters will be present.
