The COVID-19 Pandemic and the lockdown measures that governments around the world implemented have also brought with them a spike in gender violence. This aspect intersects with the exacerbation of economic, racial, and political violence, among others. In this transnational dialogue between feminist activists and academics from Argentina, Ecuador, India, and Italy, they will address the multiple forms of violence that have crystallized in this global health crisis, and they will discuss the possibilities for action that feminisms from different latitudes envision.

Coming up next Saturday 09/19 at 10.30AM EDT, COVID-19 and Gender Violence. The seventh of a series of workshops around the theme of "Revaluing Care in the Times of COVID-19". Martha Liliana Espinosa, PhD candidate in History, has put together an exciting lineup of participants: Alejandra Santillana, Researcher of the Institute of Ecuadorian Studies and PhD student at UNAM; Alessandra Spano, PhD student in Social and Political Sciences at the University of Catania and part of "Non Una di Meno, Catania"; Maya John, Assistant Professor in History at the University of Delhi and part of "Gharelu Kamgar Union of Domestic Workers"; Verónica Gago, Professor of Sociology at the Universitad Nacional San Martín and part of "Ni Una Menos, Argentina"
