Special showing of dancer, choreographer, and activist Tony C. Johnson¿s ¿Embodying History Through Movement¿ project. The project uses movement as a reflection on the journey of slaves and people of the civil rights movement, accompanied by spirituals and music used during that time in history.The performance will be followed by a discussion with dancers and Thomas DeFrantz, professor of African & African American Studies at Duke.
