FSP@PPG: Climate Justice
Panelists:
Danielle Purifoy

This discussion connects with the Southbound exhibit on display at the PPG and NCSU's Gregg Museum of Art & Design throughout the fall semester. While there are several photos in the exhibit that explicitly address climate justice issues, we are all well aware that injustice isn't always visible, and inequality, discrimination, and privilege reveal themselves in many subtle ways. Join us for a discussion with noted local experts to explore activism, law, health, journalism, and public policy as they relate to environmental justice in the US South. Panelists include Dr. Danielle Purifoy (Carolina Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Geography at UNC-CH), Sue Sturgis (Editorial Director at the Institute for Southern Studies), and Dr. Courtney Woods (Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at UNC-CH).
