The Confessional Community: Violence and Survival in Mexico City's Anexos
In the past decade, coercive drug treatment centers called anexos (annexes) have proliferated throughout Mexico City's low-income neighborhoods. This talk explores confession within anexos and describes how it discloses projects of communitarian survival that are ethically affirmative.
