SoMogo is Duke Amandla Chorus' debut showcase centered on celebrating African history, traditions and values. The name SoMogo was coined from 'So', which means home, and 'Mogo' means people, in the Dyula language of Ivory Coast, Mali and Burkina Faso. The showcase will serve as an entertaining yet educational narrative of prominent themes and principles that are central to the diverse cultures on the African continent. Join us, as we take you on a journey through Africa --from the East to West, North to South, while enjoying a first-hand experience of African music and entertainment.
