The Politicization of the Sciences: A Conversation

A roundtable discussion for Duke faculty on the topic of the politicization of the sciences. Presenters include
Luana Maroja of Williams College, Anna Krylov of the University of Southern California, and Dorian Abbot of the University of Chicago--all of whom have recently written on this topic. Items for discussion will include self-censorship, the ways in which politics should and should not influence science and scientists, and the future of the sciences in the academy.
